Syrencot

This one is up there as this was one of the places in my own Top 3 for when I got married in 2023. I loved looking round when I visited and it would be such a dream to photograph a wedding here!

The Billiard room, where the brides and the party get ready, is a bride and a photographers dream, with lots of beautiful natural light and plenty of space for those getting ready moments! The historic walled gardens offer so many opportunities for photographs, and I love that couples can walk from the prep room straight through to the ceremony (either in the glasshouse or their pretty outdoor area). There are five acres for newlyweds to wander round - so many photo opportunities with beautiful backdrops everywhere.

Reception drinks are in the gardens or the Farmshed which is also where the wedding breakfast happens, this room is stunning and they have those gorgeous statement lights to add to the incredible atmosphere, and they look like they have something new for this year, The Foldyard, which I didn't get to see when I visited back in 2022.

If you're looking for a venue with a mix of historic character, beautiful gardens and plenty of photographic opportunities, Syrencot is definitely one I'd love to photograph at.

Silchester Farm

Another one that was in my Top 3 and for good reason - as Silchester themselves say "there's nowhere quite like Silchester", and I have to agree. The whole place has that lovely rural, relaxed feel that I love.

There are 2 beautiful options for the ceremony - the 400 year old threshing barn or the picturesque outdoor setting by the lake. Both gorgeous for photos!

Then there's the CowShed for enjoying the celebrations and the wedding breakfast, with the Courtyard and the surrounding fields to wander off together for those newlywed photos.

I also really love the overall feel of Silchester. It feels beautiful without being overly formal, and that fits so well with the kind of wedding photography I love — natural, relaxed and full of those little moments in between.

If you're looking for a countryside wedding venue that feels personal, relaxed and a little bit different, Silchester Farm would definitely be high on my list.

Kimbridge Barn

One just down the road from me! This venue is tucked away beside the River Test and has that lovely relaxed Hampshire countryside feel that makes it such an inviting wedding venue. Plus I love coming here for their great breakfast and their delicious cakes!

The beautifully restored barn has authentic wooden beams and rustic chandeliers, while the large windows bring in plenty of natural light. The private courtyard is another lovely space, with low-level seating and fire pits — perfect for relaxed drinks and those candid photographs of everyone enjoying themselves as the day moves into the evening. And the surrounding areas are beautiful options for couple portraits and group shots!

I also love that Kimbridge can work for different styles of wedding, from a larger celebration in the main barn to something much more intimate in the cosy Boot Room for around 25 guests. And yes, it's dog friendly, which is always a bonus in my book! 🐾

If you're looking for a wedding venue that feels relaxed, cosy and distinctly Hampshire, Kimbridge Barn is definitely one I'd love to photograph.

Larmer Tree

This is one my friend actually introduced me too as she's getting married here in 2028 so it will also be lovely to be a guest here! It's a completely different feel from a traditional country-house wedding venue — it's historic and elegant, but with something a little more quirky about it. The venue has over 11 acres of gardens and woodland, with ancient trees, hidden pathways and free-roaming peacocks - the Bridal prep room is aptly named The Peacock Room and it just screams luxury.

I love the history of this place, and there are 4 places to choose where to have your ceremony - The Roman Temple, the Lower Indian Room, The Tollard Royal Church,

and the Jubilee Hall. The beautiful gardens give couples completely different backdrops throughout the day for their photographs too. I can just imagine couples disappearing off for ten minutes to explore the gardens together, having photographs amongst the greenery, peacocks wandering into the background and then heading back to their guests for drinks and dancing.

It's also a really interesting option for couples who want something that feels luxurious without being overly formal. Larmer Tree describes itself as “relaxed luxury”, and I think that's a pretty good way of putting it.

Clock Barn

Another one that was also firmly in my own Top 3 and again, just 15 mins down the road from where I live. I love the long winding drive up to the venue, the surrounding fields and the whole atmosphere as you arrive – it feels like the kind of place where the excitement starts before you've even walked through the doors.

(A little fun fact: I actually visited Clock Barn back in 2022, before my now husband had even proposed. We'd been together for nearly five years, I was impatient and just wanted to start dress shopping, he actually had planned to propose a month later!)

The restored Hampshire barn has such a warm, intimate feel, with beautiful wooden beams, soft natural light and gorgeous countryside surrounding it and there's obviously the iconic thatched clock. I can picture those quiet newlywed moments outside while guests enjoy drinks inside. I've also had friends get married here and they've raved about how good it was for how well looked after they were and how good the food was, having been a guest here a few times, the food is delicious and there are so many choices!

There's different options for the ceremony itself - you've got the main Clock Barn itself, the Stable Room for smaller intimate celebrations and options for outdoor ceremonies. Plus the lovely house, The Hayloft, you can stay in with your bridal party, and I love a free standing bathtub! There is also newer accommodation, called The Rose Barn, not there when I was there last in 2022 but from the photos I've seen looks amazing. The Stables is also a really cool place for bridal prep in the morning for some perfect photo moments.

It's one of those venues that feels effortlessly romantic without trying too hard, and I'd really love to photograph a wedding here.

Wasing Park

Wasing Park is the only venue on this list where I've already had the chance to create photographs during a styled shoot, and it only made me want to photograph a real wedding here even more.

It's only about 30 minutes from me, but it feels like you've escaped into somewhere completely different. The long tree-lined drive creates such an incredible arrival, with cows grazing in the grounds and the estate has so many different backdrops throughout the day.

I especially love the elegant bridal preparation rooms, the iconic cypress trees and the fact that

couples can choose between marrying in the beautiful Wasing venue itself, in their Grade II listed

Castle Barn or the stunning 15th century church within the grounds.

Every corner of the estate feels thoughtfully designed for beautiful photographs, from those quiet

portrait moments to the bigger celebrations with family and friends.

This is definitely one I'm hoping to tick off properly in 2027 or 2028.

Forest Edge Tipis

A bit different but very cool, which is why it's made the list - surrounded by nature and completely different atmosphere to a traditional wedding venue. It feels relaxed, outdoorsy and a bit more adventurous - a unique option. There are different option to choose from for actual venues, which include the Sheepdrove Organic Farm or Welford Park and excitingly something new is coming for 2027 which I'm keeping my eyes peeled for!

The giant tipis create an incredible space for dining and dancing, while the outdoor setting means couples can make the most of golden-hour portraits by the water, woodland walks and all those relaxed moments outside with guests.

I love venues that let the surroundings become part of the story, and Forest Edge feels like one of those places where every part of the day naturally lends itself to beautiful photographs.

It's definitely one I'd love to photograph in the future.

Lainston House

Lainston House has that beautiful combination of historic character, elegant interiors and stunning Hampshire countryside that makes it such an exciting prospect from a photographer's point of view. With ceremonies taking place in either the atmospheric Dawley Barn or the beautiful Outdoor Pavilion, there are plenty of opportunities for photographs that feel varied and natural throughout the day.

The 63 acres of grounds are gorgeous, with woodland, gardens and open countryside providing endless backdrops for portraits, while inside, the house offers those quieter, more intimate moments — beautiful rooms, little pockets of light and plenty of character.

And it's not just the wedding setting that makes Lainston special. The grounds are open for walks and there's even a seasonal cookery school, so it feels like somewhere you could genuinely spend time rather than simply arrive for a wedding and leave again.

Plus there's something else I really like about Lainston — it's a B Corp, so there's a genuine focus on doing business responsibly as well as creating a beautiful place to get married!

Euridges

Okay, this one might be a bit of a dream… but let me dream!

Euridge is one of those venues where you can look at the photographs and immediately understand why it's so special. The architecture, gardens, lake and dramatic surroundings make it feel completely different from a traditional country wedding venue.

From a photographer's point of view, there are just so many opportunities here — beautiful editorial portraits around the estate, photographs by the water and those little moments tucked away amongst the gardens. It would be one of those places where you could create a gallery that feels varied from beginning to end without ever having to leave the grounds. And then there's the light. The combination of old stone, water, woodland and open countryside gives you so much to play with, from atmospheric portraits to those quieter documentary moments throughout the day.

It feels luxurious and incredibly romantic without losing that sense of being somewhere completely unique.

Is 2027 ambitious? Probably. Am I still holding out hope for a late-2028 wedding here? Absolutely. 😂

If you're getting married at Euridge, I would be very excited to hear from you

Cowdray House

Now this one is also probably a bit optimistic for 2027 but like I said above, I do love to dream big and I can hold out hope for late 2028.

Cowdray House is just incredible. The estate, the architecture, the gardens and that beautiful sense of history make it one of those venues that immediately makes me want to pick up a camera. And then there's the pool… because if you're going to dream about photographing a wedding, you may as well dream big! 😂

There are so many opportunities for beautiful, editorial-style photographs here, while still having all the space you could want for those natural, in-between moments with your favourite people.

If you're planning your wedding at Cowdray House and looking for a photographer, I'd absolutely love to hear from you.
