Hi, I'm Lucy

I'm a Hampshire based photographer and I've been working in Southampton for the last 10 years as a nurse, and as I crave change every few years I've done a mixture of jobs in Neuro and ICU.  So I've spent the last decade in fast paced, high pressure environments where every moment matters.

Ask any nurse and they'll have been asked "what would you be doing if you weren't nursing?".There was always a theme to my dream job, doing something creative, and one night early this year I all of a sudden thought why don't I take back up photography?! Why don't I pick up my old DSLR and get back to it! What started as a quiet "what if?" has grown in to something I'm genuinely passionate about - capturing honest, natural moments and finding beauty in the every day.

My style sits somewhere between relaxed and refined. I'm drawn to real connection, soft movement and in-between moments - but with just enough direction to create image that feel both effortless and considered. Warm tones,  natural light and storytelling are at the heart of everything I shoot.

I've always been creative (if it's in HobbyCraft I've probably tried it), but photography is the one that truly stuck.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me with my incredibly supportive husband or attempting to take yet another photo of my two rescue dogs (who are very used to being models now).

I'm still learning, still growing - but this time, I'm not letting fear hold me back.
